Edisto 2014 Day One

We brought everything but the kitchen sink... literally.... I think it was about twenty five trips up and down the steps to bring everything inside... luckily... we had lots of help!  As soon as everything was brought upstairs, we missed Mark, Phil, and Ben.... they had already put on their "suits" and headed down to the beach.... Velda and I felt like we needed to organize a little before we could relax!
Ben got a board as soon as he got here... and did great....
 until he fell...
What a farmer's tan he has.... or more like a golfer's tan....
We were all sweating and working... and the Clemson boys were still relaxing....
I made spaghetti before we left and we were so glad to have that to eat instead of fighting the crowd and redressing.
Huddy didn't like the spaghetti... but he sure did like the strawberries....
 Yummy....
Ben ate Hudson's portion and two of his own!
I think Amberly and Phil liked it too!  The table is so long we sit at, I don't know if they did or not... their end of the table is in another zip code.
Huddy loves his train... but Mayonnaise has to fix it often... the tracks break....
The worker bees.... and our hair matches.... we don't have good beach hair.... it is kinky and out of control....
Huddy got some sand and shells all over him.... the kitchen sink is the BEST place to get all that off!
Ben has a new best friend this week... Mayonnaise may be in second place..... Getting some baseball tips on the beach....
Then he worked for a little bit on getting out of the sand traps!!!!
KB and Savannah went on a walk and came back for some gymnastics on the beach....

Mark thought KB needed a few tips too....
My favorite part of the night was shell painting.... We found shells and made art from them.... Everyone took a little time to decorate something....
I feel sure KB is going to be arrested this week... she took this off the beach and decided to paint it with all our names... it smells to high heaven, so I feel sure we are going to lose it before we get home...
 A Lincoln County shell....
 A dolphin
 A sunset

 A peacock
 A flip flop
As the night went on.... Mine and Velda's hair got worse....so we decided to straighten Velda's.... we laughed until we cried!

Right now we are sitting in the house waiting on the rain to pass... I am sure that a Target run is going to be in the near future if it doesn't stop raining... We have had a dolphin show this morning right off our balcony and a kite show...
