A Time for Everything...

"There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens"

I am like every other mother who has experienced a "last" during a child's senior year... while I would love to let out a big cry, I can't help but smile when I see the love, laughter, and life that she has.

She started the day at the nail salon... in her curlers... and then we headed to get her hair done...
MG has been a part of her life from the beginning...
And precious Jordan who always has a smile and makes us laugh...
One's makeup is done... the other one's hair...
Logan is one of KB's favorites... so glad for their friendship...
And then we headed back home to work on HER makeup!
Don't we all wish we could sit cross-legged on a bathroom counter!
"a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot"
Thank you Lord for these two who have been such a special part of my life and who love KB as their own... they have provided nurturing for her "roots"... and even when we "uprooted" and moved back to SC, they helped in every way they could!

This look is the one I get when I tell her to wear lipstick every day, fix her hair, and dress in something other than a tshirt and jeans!

If only she would listen to me!  She shows me and reminds me daily that beauty is not what's on the outside.... but the inside.  She loves with all her heart when she loves.  She is loyal, faithful, and determined.

These two have experienced their second prom together... I love to watch her as she has quickly moved from loving Mark and me the best... to loving him.  She is smitten by him.

a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and time to build"
He has been a part of building her up and making her feel better about moving here.  Life isn't always easy... things happen and we have to make tough decisions... but if you follow God's will... you will be blessed beyond measure.  She is living proof of that!

When I ask her if she wants to move back... she always looks at me like I'm crazy... I love to say, "I told you so!"... I'll try not to brag anymore about it.
He might be a keeper... getting her lipstick off her teeth!

VeVe and Jane getting their pictures to show and brag.
"a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather"
I love this part of her life... a time to dance and have fun... spreading her wings to fly... and it won't be long before she gathers her life back to focus on college and what life has in store for her.

"a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up"

As she goes through these next few weeks to end her senior year, I pray she will embrace those who mean the most to her... and let go of the things that bother her...

She will forever love this one as long as she continues to make her bacon and eggs, honey bun cakes, chocolate chip cookies, and anything else she asks for...

"a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend"

I hope you never have to mend too much... I pray you always know where to look when life has disappointments and hurt...

Thick as thieves... the bond is strong... life will be different next year... for me, but especially for him.  I thank the Lord for the bond these two have... they have a love hate relationship that surpasses love for anyone else... to say they have each others' backs is an understatement... Lord help the ones who hurt them...
"Lee Harvey Oswald and Annie Oakley" heading to the prom....

"a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate"

May you always smile this much and not ever hate!

"a time for war and a time for peace"
And today KB, I find peace in knowing that you are moving on to the next phase of this life... I'm so, so proud of you.... you make me smile, you make me cry, you make me want to be a better person.
I pray every day is prom day for you... exciting, fun, dancing, friends, and laughter... We have one month until graduation... soak up and enjoy every second of it... I'm trying my best... And of course I'll be honest and say, "Thank you Lord I don't have to stay up until 3:00 AM for several more years"!
