Dear June.... I'm glad there are only 30 days.....

What a month this has been.... I knew from the beginning that we were going to be going non-stop, and even with added events we didn't expect, we have survived and made it to the end!  I'm not sure if ya'll will hate me for filling up your calendars for the month of June, but you have been busy without any opportunities to be lazy.... Ben~ I'm so proud of you for taking on the task of playing golf in weekly tournaments... You are learning so much about the game... you are not giving up...and you are realizing that things don't always come easily... sometimes we have to work and get better to accomplish our goals...
Seeing you carry your own bag and walking nine holes of golf makes me want to cry... It seems like yesterday you were just crawling in my lap with your "hot juice, tag, and pi-pi".... I am considering hanging your tag on the end of your golf bag for good luck!  My favorite part of this entire experience is watching you make friends... it's like you have known these little boys your entire life... I think you have your daddy's personality and you don't meet a stranger...
We really aren't supposed to talk to you or give you pointers while you are playing, but I get nervous every time you pull the range finder out... I want you to give me a signal of some kind telling me if the distance is correct or not....

And this is just too cute...lining up your putts....

Heading to the driving range before your second tournament.... I'm so proud of you for getting up and being ready to leave the house by 6:15 or 6:30 on these days.... you didn't get that morning bug from me either!
Decisions, decisions, decisions... I'm loving watching you act grown and having to decide things...
And KB.... you have been busy this month too!  You have had basketball or cheerleading every day.... Last weekend you were in Miss Gold Rush...I was so proud of you... you carried yourself well and in my eyes... you will always be a winner!

Daddy and I leave today for the same conference.... I realize it isn't fair that this is the first summer you aren't going to New York, California, or Texas for this conference, but the stars have aligned just right...and Daddy and I actually have a conference at the same time and place for once!  I'm sorry that you have to stay with that mean ole' Jane who doesn't let you do anything.... you know.... she just left with you... going shopping...with my credit card.... ugh.... Have fun!  Ben do well in your tournament Monday... JMac and Mimi will be there to root you on....

I'm counting down the days to our vacation at the beach.... Amberly and I have already planned to post a picture every hour on the hour because everyone else we know is doing that!  I don't care too much about showing my fat piggies in the sand, my butt in the sand, or my face...so get ready for hundreds of pictures!

Love you both...and I hope ya'll are just as happy to see June be gone as I am!

What is kind of sad.... Peeking in this picture under the June calendar... is the July one.... it doesn't look much better....or easier...I should say!

Day Three of Clemson/ Day Two of USC Upstate

I headed to Spartanburg today to watch Sis play a little basketball.  It took me forever to find the building she was playing in, so I only saw the last minutes of her game.  I didn't even see the scoreboard until it was over... her team won by three.... She made the last three points of the game... the girls worked together like I had never seen.... the next few pictures are of them during this game and the happiness on their faces for the win almost made me cry.

This is KB fighting for the ball... rolling around on the floor... amazed that she will do this!

She got fouled and made the free throw!

 And .... they won!!!!

I caught the last ten seconds of the Varsity game....

This is the beginning of the second game.... I love that the coach leads them in prayer before they play....
And then... both teams got in the middle of the court and grabbed hands... and prayed... I had tears in my eyes because I think KB prayed for the group.... Wow....

Varsity watching JV play.... so sweet

Varsity girls headed to their game!  All smiles!
And then it was time to head back to Clemson!

That little boy... in the navy Nike shirt... beyond tired... and the blisters on his feet make me hurt... his heart has been full of joy today... and full of sorrow... his team has won and lost some tough games!
And this one... he has had a good game today!  (and a bad one too)  We would talk about the refs, but they are the coaches of the Tiger team!  :)
James's tooth is so loose... I'm afraid it is going to come out when he is running and swallow it.

 "Him so tide"

 James's tooth still hurts.
 and it is still loose

James was "on time" tonight!  He made almost every free throw he shot!

It's been a great day... but all good things must come to an end..... I have to work tomorrow.... I'm already homesick because I want to go back to Lincolnton tomorrow.... Spending the week in "hotlanta" is not my idea of fun!
