I have often heard that a good time can be measured by the
food we eat. We have that tradition…you
know… someone dies… the first thing we ask is “Do they have something to eat?”,
someone gets hurt… “Do they have something to eat?.... someone goes on vacation
“Did you have something good to eat?”… someone goes on a date “Did you go eat
somewhere good?”… At least in my family we ask all these things. We love to eat and can usually measure our
good time based on that!
This
past week KB had the opportunity to do a little babysitting at the beach. When the babies left, Ben and I got to join
her. Needless to say… we had a great
time eating and enjoying the company of sweet, gracious friends who hosted us
for a long weekend!
We
headed to Charleston (Isle of Palms) bright and early Wednesday morning. We have returned today quite crispy and
burnt! The conversations of solving all
the world’s problems, the laughter at silly things, and the delicious meals
prepared by Katrina and “Dr. Doug” will long be remembered. Thanks so much for the hospitality and most
of all for the wonderful memories.
They were so excited to see each other! They had been apart for far too long!
They were happy to see Savannah too!
Dr. Harmon at his finest! Asleep, peaceful, and relaxed....
Butterfinger and Snicker Bars sure do taste good on the beach!
You would think she was two with all that chocolate all over her mouth!
Ms. Katrina... I am sure she was telling us how to cook some of her delicious food!
He will never be too big to sit in Mama's lap!
Kite show we saw every afternoon!
Yes, the animal was still inside... thankfully we talked him into leaving it in its "natural habitat" and we didn't ride home in the car with it!
Po Po always shows up wherever we are!
Just wondering if he is really awake... or are his eyes closed under those glasses?
Dr. McCleod and Ms. Debbie enjoying the view!
A little help with fishing?
Grilling our supper!
Gone fishin'
Stella Bella.... I actually liked her... she doesn't stink...or bother me! Great Dog...and cute collar too!
Ms. Katrina with all her babies! I love how big her heart is and how she made think they were each her favorite!
Stella jealous of her mama with all these children!
And then the gambling begins.... they are learning from the finest!
And look who showed up... Uncle Eddie... or Mark... in Ben's shirt....
Thanks Dr. Greg for helping Ben surf!
My hearts!
Three sweet girls!
These two got to parasail!
And he cooked for us again! Yum, yum, yum... needless to say... good food, good friends, good time! Thanks for the memories!
